Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 26, 2026

Soul Sift is built to do as little with your data as possible. This page explains, in plain language, what we collect and what happens to it.

What we collect

What we don't collect

Why we collect it

Solely to operate the service: authenticate you, render your profile, count your clicks and views, prevent abuse. Nothing else.

Where it lives

Data is stored on servers we rent from our hosting provider. Uploaded files (avatars, backgrounds) live on the same server's disk. We use Google for OAuth sign-in only; their privacy policies apply when you choose those flows.

How long we keep it

Until you delete your account. When you request deletion from Settings, your account enters a 30-day grace period (so you can change your mind). After that, a daily job permanently deletes your user record and everything attached to it: blocks, links, OAuth connections, deletion request, the lot. There is no soft delete and no shadow copy.

Your controls

Cookies

We use a session cookie to keep you logged in and a CSRF cookie to protect form submissions. That's it. No advertising or tracking cookies.

Children

Soul Sift is for users 13 and older. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, please email us and we'll delete it.

Changes

If we change this policy, the date at the top of this page will change. Material changes will be flagged in-app or by email.
